A modern day fairy tale, Into the Dark Woods is Charlene Kelly’s debut play. Through the familiar archetypes of fairy-tale, Charlene deftly entices us into rare territory, using the living realm of the woods as an extraordinary invitation into the world as experienced by someone with an intellectual disability.
A new voice in Irish playwriting, Into the Dark Woods is a subtle, powerful play that speaks with gentleness and a ravaging rage.

Into the Dark Woods features the award-winning Blue Teapot Theatre Company, who work with actors and artists with intellectual disabilities at the forefront of arts and disability in Ireland.
